Vanilla Cake With Whipped Cream And Strawberries. Recipe
A Sweet recipe for fluffy vanilla cake served with whipped cream and fresh strawberry sauce.
1 1/2 cups Cake Flour
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
1 cup Sugar
2 large Eggs, room temperature
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Whole Milk
1 lbs ripe strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 lemon, juiced
1 pinch salt
1 cup heavy cream whipped.
Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease an 8-inch cake pan.
Sift the cake flour, baking powder, and salt into a large mixing bowl. Beat in the butter, using an electric mixer set on low speed, until the mixture resembles coarse sand. Beat in the sugar then eggs one at a time. Add the vanilla and milk, and mix on medium, just until blended.
Pour into the prepared pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool cake in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes. before turning out and cool completely.
For the strawberry sauce. Combine ingredients in medium saucepan over medium-low heat; stir gently until sugar dissolves and berries are soft, about 10 minutes.
To serve. Place cooled cake on a serving plate and top with whipped cream, spoon strawberry sauce into middle and cut to serve.
